Mkayla Simons, LMSW

If you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in cycles of overthinking, struggling to calm your mind, or caught in patterns that are hard to break, you are not alone. I work with young adults and women navigating anxiety, OCD, trauma, and emotional overwhelm, and relationship patterns that leave them feeling drained, disconnected, or unsure of themselves. Many of the individuals I support are highly anxious, emotionally exhausted, or trying to better understand how past experiences continue to impact their present-day lives and relationships.

I especially enjoy working with individuals who want to process past experiences, reduce anxiety, manage obsessive thoughts or compulsions, and feel more grounded and emotionally regulated in their day-to-day lives. I incorporate evidence-based approaches including EMDR, CBT, ERP, mindfulness-based strategies, and relapse prevention work when appropriate..

I also work with clients who find themselves in recurring relationship patterns, including co-dependency and trauma bonding. Together, we explore how these patterns have developed and begin to shift them, helping you build healthier, more intentional relationships while learning how to communicate your needs more clearly and effectively.

Clients often describe me as warm, down‑to‑earth, and easy to talk to. I value building a trusting, supportive relationship where you can explore your experiences, develop coping skills, and work toward growth and healing in a way that feels realistic and aligned with your life. You don’t have to navigate this season alone. I’m here to walk alongside you.
