Makiya Badada, LMSW
Are you a woman navigating the pressures of work, family, or identity while carrying the weight of stress or past trauma? Maybe you’re a professional facing major life transitions and searching for a clearer sense of balance and direction. Or perhaps you’re a college student working hard to manage academics, relationships, and your mental health. No matter where you are in life, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
I specialize in helping young adults and women who are experiencing anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, or challenges with focus and executive functioning. In our work together, you’ll have a safe and supportive space to be yourself, while we focus on self-compassion, healing, and practical steps to help you feel more grounded and in control of your life.
For deeper processing, I offer EMDR and Brainspotting, two highly effective therapies for healing the effects of trauma, anxiety, and overwhelming life stressors. If you’re struggling with OCD or intense anxiety, I also use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help you break free from cycles that feel impossible to escape.
No matter where you’re starting from, my approach is always tailored to you. I draw from therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Talk Therapy so our sessions match your needs, not a one-size-fits-all method. My goal is for you to feel supported, understood, and empowered as you take meaningful steps toward the life you want.
